Greek Summer: Island-Hopping Through Paros, Mykonos, and Antiparos
Share
Note to self: every wall in Greece is either whitewashed, dripping in bougainvillea, or both - and I'm so glad I get to share it with you.
Camera in one hand, gelato in the other, I've just had a short but very sweet island-hop through Paros and Mykonos, and I couldn't wait to bring you along for the ride. Fair warning: there is a LOT of blue, and I loved every minute of it.
Top tip if you're planning your own trip: rent a car! We did, and it made all the difference - you can properly explore each island at your own pace, get off the main strip, and find all those quieter little corners you'd otherwise miss.
Paros: Chapels, Clams and Chairs-Turned-Dancefloors
First stop, Paros, and it was love at first whitewashed chapel. Blue doors, a little flag on top, sky so blue it looks Photoshopped - it's not, that's just Tuesday here, and I felt so lucky to be standing in front of it.
There is Barbarossa - my forever favourite. It's an open-air restaurant where the meal quietly turns into everyone dancing on their chairs at sunset, windmill and bougainvillea as the backdrop. I only managed to catch it on video of everyone dancing on their chairs, but honestly, it's every bit as joyful and warm as it looks.

Mykonos: Windmills, Harbours and Beach Club Days
Next, Mykonos, land of the world's most photographed windmills - and I have to say, they earn every bit of the hype. Add a picture-book harbour, a red-domed church tucked under pink blossoms, gingham tablecloths at lunch, and tiny stalls selling hand-strung shells and driftwood, and you can see why I could have stayed a week longer.
The afternoons were made for beach clubs - linen, low tables, that impossibly clear water, and a beer that comes in the bluest little bottle I've ever seen. Even the packaging is beautiful here. I couldn't stop smiling.
Antiparos: The Quiet, Pretty Cousin
A little hop over to Antiparos for a gentler pace - sleepy lanes, blue-and-pink doorways, and Maroon café tucked behind a wall of bougainvillea. This whole island felt made for slow mornings in a white dress and a straw hat, stopping for a photo every few steps because everything is just so pretty.
That's the trip so far, and I'm already dreaming about the next stop. Thank you so much for coming along with me - more islands (and more blue) to come soon!
With love, Jess x
